The Bar Method

It hasn’t been until recently in life that I’ve actually started paying attention to my exercise regime.  I’ve always been fairly conscious about my diet and what I eat, but working out and staying active has never been a priority for me.

And frankly, exercise has never really been able to hold my attention.  Apart from swimming, which I absolutely LOVE, I pretty much have to drag myself to any other type of exercise : yoga, dance class, cardio.

Recently though, I’ve had a few friends rave about a new exercise studio called The Bar Method.  It claims to be the most “targeted body sculpting workout” – and looking at my girlfriends who do it, I’m kinda sold.  That being said, a studio recently opened up near my home (Marina del Rey, CA) and I jumped on the $100 unlimited monthly intro special for new students.  I’ve taken a class every day for the last 3 days and I am already addicted.  The classes are only an hour, so I don’t feel like I’m spending / wasting my time exercising aimlessly.  But it’s an intense hour of interval training that is hard WORK!  It’s a good burn and so far I’m loving it.  We’ll see how I feel after a month.

  • I will, for sure! I went to 3 classes in 3 days, taking the wknd off and have 4 classes lined up for next week. Definitely excited about it so far. And I will keep you posted!
